Who We Are

Skillsonthemove is a platform for people and businesses to outsource their skills and get paid. We are creating a way to connect people who are skilled and ready to work, with people who need work done. We are not an employment agency but an online platform aimed to alleviate poverty and restore our communities’ dignity.

Who can use us

Any South African company or Individual who has a service to offer to the public may register as a service provider.
Anyone looking for service in and around the country can use the platform to request such service in their area.

How much does it cost?

Registration is free for both Service providers and Clients; there are no subscription fees payable to Skillonthemove. A service fee will be charged on the agreed quoted price to cover the handling, usage of the platform and transaction costs and there are no other or hidden costs. Finder’s fee will be charged for the Clients who want us to find them service providers with skills available in our platform.

Payments

Once the client accepts your quotation, they will process the payment to Skillsonthemove account and upload the proof of payment. You will then get a notification as usual with the proof of payment. The payment will be securely held in our account and you(Service Providers) are able to start and complete service as agreed with the Client knowing that payment will be made to your preferred bank account once and when you have completed the job and we have received the confirmation from the Client. When and how do I get paid? In order to withdraw funds that Skillsonthemove is holding, you are required to complete the service and your client to confirm via the SkillsOntheMove platform, then the payment request will be sent to us directly in the Skillsonthemove pay request page. A user can also not request a payment of less than R20.00.
All Payments for completed jobs will be processed on the next Friday after the completion.
